Hello, and welcome to the Holistic puppy food web site. To start with we are honest to God dog people and not someone trying to make a quick buck on line. We breed Labradoodles and Poodles. Plus my breeding background is in the sporting breeds for field and show. So you can be sure sometimes we know what we are talking about, bloging about or just giving advice about.
We started breeding Labradoodles in 2005. That came about because my daughter has a heart problem and needed a service dog to help her in the daily routine of living. We started with a Labrador Retriever and went from there.
Today we breed Labradoodles for a number of reasons. Not only for hybrid vigor but they are highly intelegent dogs and make great service dogs in all fields. This brings us to the reason for this site, you see we donate a number of our dogs to schools that teach the dogs service work. This can take them up to 18 – 24 months to complete training. Not all dogs that start the program finish. We are proud to say that so far all the puppies donated by us have completed or will be completeing the program.
The puppies that don’t go to the schools are sold. Again, here we try to keep the price of said puppy resonable so that the average family can afford one. As you can figure, it leaves us at times wondering where the funds for dog food will come from.
